Journey #1: P.F. Chang's China Bistro

Overall Dining Experience: 6.5/10

Location: ABC Ashrafieh

What other way to start off a food journey? CHINESE, of course!

It was really all a matter of coincidence. We were at abc Ashrafieh and we didn't really know what to have; it was between the American cuisine and the Chinese one. And after a little game of "Eenie-Meenie", we found our choice.

P.F. Chang's offered a wonderful dining experience, mainly why it is one of the best Chinese restaurants, in addition to the Japanese tastes it offers.

We went with 3 dishes: a chicken dish, along with 2 shrimp dishes.

And here they are:
Crispy Honey Chicken

Crispy Honey Chicken - 27,000 LBP

The diced chicken breast was cooked to perfection and it was well marinated in the honey sauce. Moreover, the sauce had the perfect balance; it didn't have that intense honey sweetness that would make you go for something salty or savory. It was simply piquant.
Additionally, the rice sticks were light and crisp, pleasantly accompanying the sublime taste of the honey chicken.
However, the presentation was a bit sloppy, and we could tell the dish stayed in the kitchen for a while because the rice sticks absorbed all the honey sauce. That made the rice lose its crispiness.

Double Pan-Fried Noodles With Shrimp - 21,000 LBP

Basically, the double pan-fried noodles are a crispier take on the Lo Mein noodles (egg noodles) that P.F. Chang's serves. The crisp is just perfect. In addition, the sauce offered with the noodles has the perfect intensity to it. Finally, the shrimp is cooked well.
However, the plating was very sloppy. That was pretty much the only downside to this dish.

Lemongrass Prawns With Garlic Noodles - 39,000 LBP

The dish was well plated. Furthermore, the grilled prawns were cooked well. The egg noodles were fantastic with the lemon sauce.
However, the lemongrass ruined the prawns' flavor because it was really bitter.
